NOTICES
Voting Equipment Public Logic and Accuracy Test
In accordance with Florida Statute, Section 101.5612, a pre-election test of the automatic tabulating equipment, which will be used to tabulate the votes cast in the Town of Havana, Municipal Election, to be held on April 28, 2026, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Supervisor of Elections Office, 16 S. Madison St., Quincy. The purpose of the test is to ascertain that the tabulating equipment will correctly count the votes cast for all offices and on all measures. The Canvassing Board will convene and shall certify the accuracy of the test. The test shall be open to the public.
Canvass of Returns
The canvass of Vote-By-Mail returns for Town of Havana Municipal Election will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Election Day, April 28, 2026. If any ballots need to be cured due to missing or invalid signatures, the canvassing board will reconvene on April 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
Post-Election Certification Voting System Audit
Immediately following the certification of each municipal election on April 28, 2026, the canvassing board for Town of Havana Municipal Election, shall conduct a manual audit of the voting systems used. The audit shall consist of a tally of the votes cast in one randomly selected race that appears on the ballot. If any ballots need to be cured, the audit will be held on April 30, 2026.
