Planning & Zoning
The Planning & Zoning Commission reviews proposed amendments to zoning ordinances, site plans and plat applications, and also makes recommendations to the Council regarding the current and future development of the Town of Havana.
The Town Clerk is the Zoning Officer for Town of Havana. All zoning requests should be submitted using our zoning application available below.
What Is Voluntary Annexation? Voluntary annexation is a process that allows property owners adjacent to the Town limits to request inclusion into the Town of Havana’s municipal boundaries. This process is completely voluntary and initiated by the property owner. Voluntary Annexation is governed by Florida Statute Chapter 171. Eligible property owners should complete a zoning application, which can be found below, and return it to the Town Clerk for consideration by Town Council. All petitions for voluntary annexation must be considered at two public hearings before a decision will be made by Council.
