Current Vacancy - Town Clerk  (Open until filled)
The Town of Havana is currently accepting applications & resumes for a Town Clerk.  This highly skilled administration position is a  central figure in local government, managing official records, issuing licenses, and serving as the link between citizens and the council by preparing meeting agendas, recording minutes, and ensuring transparency. They are the official record-keeper for town documents, handle financial tasks, provide oversight for clerical staff, and ensure compliance with public records laws, acting as a key administrative officer for the town.  Salary hiring range is $50,000 - $56,000 with full benefits, including senior management FRS retirement and paid holidays.  Interested candidates should submit an application and resume to manager@townofhavana.com.  
Current Vacancy - Street Dept. Technician  (Open until filled)
The Town of Havana is currently accepting applications for a Street Department Technician.  This is an entry-level labor position to assist in maintaining and constructing Town infrastructure, including mowing and maintaining the Town right of way, roads, parks, and storm drain system.  This employee will also assist with meter reading.   This is a highly physcial job performed in all types of weather.   Starting salary is $15.50 per hour with full benefits and paid holidays.

Must meet the minimum standards set forth by the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission and possess a current Certificate of Completion.

Salary: $43,690.00

General description of duties:

General duty police work responsible for the enforcement of laws and ordinances, prevention, detection and investigation of crime, maintenance of law and order and other duties associated with the protection of life, property, and public safety. Law enforcement officers perform duties in accordance with Florida State Statutes, Town of Havana policy & procedures and departmental policies & procedures. Position performs essential functions as outlined in the official position description and applicable to assigned functional area. Performs related work as required. Persons hired into this position will be expected to work on an assigned shift, which may include holidays.
